I have several Riverwest products this one final filled a notch I have been trying to fill. Will be excellent for ground hunting and open field waterfowl ing. Kid used it on canoe trip as his sleeping bag in a hammock. Will come up with a few more uses I am sure. Terrence teifer on Jul 26th 2017
This product is all that I expected it to be. It eliminates the need for a lot of bulky garments when bowhunting in the cold. As a bonus it is waterproof and as quiet as a whisper.
Love it. Wendell on Feb 9th 2017
I was good in the tree at minus 9 F with this thing on. If only it covered my feet I would have been able to stay indefinitely Unknown on Jan 1st 2017
The cape is very warm and comfortable however, the lining is only attached at the edges which allows the warm lining to be exposed to the elements.
River West should consider attaching the lining to the shell so that the cape can be closed and not exposed...... Unknown on Dec 31st 2016
I have two of these capes, one for me and one for my son. They are great in the tree stand and also for coyote hunting. I only wish that when I sent you the idea for this product you took my advise and made it reversible with snow camo. I have had to retro a snow camo cover for mine. Very pleased with the size and comfort. Scott DeYoung on Dec 29th 2016
I've only used it once, for about three hours in single digit temperature with 10 to 12 mph wind...definitely does the job without the bulk of competitors' products. Snap/fastening system could be improved. Will have wife do a mod on mine. GREAT JOB Unknown on Dec 25th 2016
The insulated hunting cape is not as it appears. The liner is not attached to the outer shell which allows the insulate liner to be exposed to the elements. This occurs when you place your hands in the two pockets located on the inside. In fact, while in a tree stand, trying to get this item draped around me, I kept turning inside out.......
The insulated liner should have been at least attached at a few places instead of just on the edges of the garment. When I spoke with the Rivers West Staff, they said this was the way the item was supposed to be.
I would not recommend this item if it is wet and cold..... Unknown on Dec 23rd 2016
I have used this in a tree stand during Dec - Jan in PA and it is a great, The material is great and the harness hole keeps it from dropping off the stand. It is bulky but well worth it when the temp drops below freezing. I bought another one for those little league and soccer games in the late fall and early spring. I would highly recommend this cape!!! Unknown on Jun 30th 2016
